    EXHIBITION

Paul McCartney, Photograph 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm (4 July 2026 - 3 January 2027)
The Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence presents more than 250 photographs taken by Paul McCartney between 1963 and 1964, revealing a key period in the meteoric rise of The Beatles. Rediscovered in 2020, these images offer an intimate glimpse of the band on tour—from Liverpool and London to Paris and the United States—where their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show marked their entry into worldwide fame.
Organized into seven sections, the exhibition captures both the intensity of their daily lives and the aesthetic spirit of the 1960s. Through spontaneous snapshots and carefully composed images, McCartney reveals a society in transition and his own sense of wonder at America, a symbol of modernity.
