The Jean and Suzanne Planque Foundation’s exceptional collection is on a 15-year loan to the musée Granet. To celebrate this extraordinary partnership, the museum will be showcasing more than 120 masterworks from this priceless collection in summer 2011.
This exhibition is the defining event of summer 2011
Jean Planque followed the example of Cézanne by building up a collection of works selected according to his personal tastes and exceptional encounters, from Picasso to Dubuffet.
Featuring works from the end of the 19th century by Impressionists and post-Impressionists - Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin - and major 20th century artists, including
Picasso, Braque, Dufy, Laurens, Léger, Klee, Bissière, de Staël and Dubuffet, this exceptional exhibition will be the defining event of summer 2011.
